Fiat 131 Abarth - Andrea Zanussi/Arnaldo Bernacchini - 1982 Rally dell'Isola d'Elba

Fiat 131 Abarth - Andrea Zanussi/Arnaldo Bernacchini - 1982 Rally dell'Isola d'Elba

Finally back to uploading something, this is the Totip 131 that Zanussi and Bernacchini (well, only Zanussi i guess, kinda hard to crash a car if you're codriving) crashed on SS27, Rally dell'Isola d'Elba 1982, the third round of that year's Italian championship. Not the most successful of cars, but it looks good, and if you crash you can say you're just being historically accurate.

This is the first day livery, with the Canonica stickers on the front fenders instead of the rears and without whatever logo is on the rear window later on. It's also missing the Stiassi logos on the side windows because the model doesn't allow for them, which is why it looks a bit different from the photos and scale models. The UV mapping is beyond distorting too, so I bothered with 95% of the lines looking good, maybe something slipped out of quality control, sorry about that (only if you notice, otherwise I'm not).

Enjoy this fine piece of betting sponsorship with only a slight hint of tobacco money on it, hope to publish something else without the 11 month wait this time.

Ford Escort MK2 - Kenjiro Shinozuka/Bryan Harris - 1981 Rallye de Portugal

Ford Escort MK2 - Kenjiro Shinozuka/Bryan Harris - 1981 Rallye de Portugal Kenjiro Shinozuka and Bryan Harris drove this black Escort in the 1981 edition of Rally Portugal.  It was a tough event, with tarmac and gravel stages and an impressive entry list with works teams from Fiat, Audi, Opel, Talbot, Toyota, Datsun and David Sutton's Rothmans Escorts, and they  finished in 10th place at the end.  Kenjiro Shinozuka was usually at the wheel of a Mitsubishi, winning the 1988 APRC title, the 1991 and 1992 Ivory Coast WRC rounds and the 1997 Paris-Dakar rally. The car model used in RBR is LHD as opposed to the RHD car used in the event and it has  black tarmac wheels and silver gravel and snow wheels, as it had in real life.  The front plate has been made as a sticker as the model lacks a proper one. A version without the front plate is available as well in case you don't like the sticker. DOWNLOAD   DOWNLOAD-NO PLATE

BMW M3 E30 - Denis Cronin/Helen O'Sullivan - Cork 20 International Rally 2003

BMW M3 E30 - Denis Cronin/Helen O'Sullivan - Cork 20 International Rally 2003 This BMW M3 and its plate GXI 9427 featured in a lot of Irish rallies, driven by Billy Coleman, Bertie Fisher, Bill Connolly, Andrew Nesbitt, Eugene Meegan and lastly by Denis Cronin, and international rally stars Patrick Snijers and Bernard Beguin won the European championship and the Tour de Corse in this car. Cronin drove the car in the 2003 Cork 20 rally, finishing 7th and first 2WD car, entertaining the spectators with his sideways driving. The model we have is LHD as opposed to the RHD conversion the real car had, the fuel cap is on the side rather than at the rear and the front plate holder is slightly lower on the RBR model, but it is what it is. Thanks to AleksiP , Superkoops and the Jannecord fellas for helping with various things. Speedline tarmac wheels by Superkoops, more available here . DOWNLOAD
